Organic Ravintsara essential oil Originally from Madagascar, Ravintsara means "good leaf" in Malagasy. It is the iconic tree of Hiroshima because it is the first (along with the Ginkgo biloba) that has rejected the bombing. Its essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the aerial parts. This process consists of carrying the volatile components (essential oil) of the leaves with the water vapor. The vapor then condenses in the swarm, separating the essential oils from the hydrolase (water).
